By virtue of the Institute’s basic researches healthcare technologies, medical and scientific equipment have been developed.
The Institute paid special attention to the practical value of findings and developments. Much effort has been put into the shift workers’ occupational diseases prevention guide.
The Institute has first brought forward a new idea of psychosomatic correction through drug-free regulation of the physiological functions – audiovisual stimulation by weak rhythmic impulses within the cerebral bioelectrical activity frequency range and intermittent normobaric hypoxic therapy.
A breakthrough technology of the seasonal affective disorder phototherapy has also been developed in the Institute of Physiology.
Medical equipment developed:
- Oscillo-vasometer-2K – a metering device for peripheric circulation and vessel elastic properties.
- Spirosimulator for therapy and prevention of respiratory conditioned metabolic diseases. Besides the simulator is a popular sportsmen’s training device.
- The OKSIV spirometabolic system for examination of the energy exchange rate on the basis of oxygen consumption.
- Capnography biocontrol system for bronchial asthma cases aftercare and also for other psychosomatic diseases with hyperventilation syndrome or the respiratory problems caused by psychoemotional disorders.
